Putrajaya is the administrative centre for Malaysia Federal Government. In within this exotic city, there is a man-made Putrajaya lake spanning across 650 hectares of beautiful waters and exotic wetlands. A lot of us probably do not know one of the way to get to visit this spectacular city and the landmarks is to take a Putrajaya lake cruise tour.
I have been working in the neighboring Cyberjaya city for more than 5 years and have been visiting to Putrajaya mainly by car. Recently on the 20th Nov, 4 of us (Alan, Sabine, Marc & myself) took a lake cruise tour to have a different view on Putrajaya. The tour cost us RM30.00 per person for a tour of 45 minutes. The landmarks visited includes Putra Mosque, Darul Ehsan Palace, Ministry of Finance, Ser Wawasan Bridge, Millennium Monument, Palace of Justice, Ser Saujana Bridge, Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Seri Gemilang Bridge, Perdana Putra (Prime Minister's office) and Putra Bridge

There was a English-speaking tour guide in the cruise who shared with us mainly the background and information about the buiding/landmarks on our eyesight. Most of the visitors in the cruise were foreigners especially coming from Middle East. I guess it was probably due the fact it was a weekday. The locals will probably come during the weekend, public holiday or school holiday. However I believe that middle east tourists have been flocking in into country lately and I had similar obsevations in Penang recently.

Overall we think it is worthwhile to take a lake cruise to visit Putrajaya. It would be definitely more attractive if the rate of the ticket can be reduced to RM20.00 per person for the locals.
